Bringing Back the Sunday Drive
Remember grabbing a shake and going for a drive with your parents when you were a kid? This summer the Morthland Foundation is bringing back the Sunday Drive with three guided Sunday Drives, each featuring a different theme from our local history. We’ll be meeting at Green Leaf Cafe at 202 East Oak Street for root beet floats to-go, made with root beer from Mike’s Drive In and homemade ice cream. So join us at 3:00 pm on June 18, July 16, and August 13. Mark your calendars and grab a ticket for just one drive or all three. They’re all free; but please sign up in advance by sending an e-mail to email@example.com. You can always tip your guide if you had a good time. All ages are welcome.
Using Ripstix, lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising, POUND transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out. Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. Designed for all fitness levels, POUND provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin’ out! The workout is easily modifiable and the alternative vibe and welcoming philosophy appeals to men and women of all ages and abilities.
PiYo LIVE combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility of flowing yoga movements. You’ll use your body weight to perform a series of continuous, targeted moves to define every single muscle—big and small.
